Step 1: Find a world-class school or program
Canada is the land of all possibilities. Start by doing your research to find the schools or programs that are right for you. Think about where you would like to live in the provinces and territories of Canada. Throughout the country, you can choose between small, welcoming rural communities and large, vibrant cities.

Each province and each school in Canada sets its own admission requirements. For more information on programs and admission requirements, contact the school directly.

Step 2: Set a budget and see how to finance your education
Studying in Canada is an affordable option. Colleges and universities generally have lower tuition fees than those in Australia, the United Kingdom and the United States.[1]

Step 3: Apply for admission
When you apply for admission to the school of your choice, be sure to provide accurate information and the requested documents. Your school will let you know what documents you need and what next steps to take. Remember that admission fees vary by institution. Be sure to submit your application well in advance.

Your institution or a designated third party can verify your degrees and qualifications. You may be asked to provide documents such as:

your report card
your transcripts
your study certificates
Step 4: Apply to study in Canada
Once you have received your acceptance letter, you will need to find out:

if you need a study permit from Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).
whether you can get your study permit faster through the Student Direct Stream.
how to prepare your documents and apply online to IRCC.
Note: If you are studying in Quebec, you may also need to obtain a Quebec Acceptance Certificate from the Quebec government before applying for a study permit.

Once IRCC approves your application, they will ask you to send them your passport. He will send it back to you with your license, along with a letter of introduction.

When you travel to Canada, bring this letter with you and show it to the Canada border services officer. If your application is approved, the officer will then issue your study permit.
