Love Island star Tasha’s dad wades into Jacques ‘bullying row’ – after rugby player mocked the model

Jacques O’Neill has come under fire for mocking Tasha Ghouri in a private Instagram Story that was leaked online, with her father now wading in.

The Love Islander, 23, filmed himself watching Tasha’s speech to Andrew Le Page in the Love Island final at the Summer Ball.

Over the top he quoted Davide Sanclimenti’s now iconic words, saying: ‘You’re a liar, an actress, go the f**k out!’

After the video was leaked on Twitter, fans started to turn on Jacques, arguing that he had left the villa over his mental health, but cared little about the mental health of others, especially that of women.

Many said they were feeling a lot less sympathetic to his plight, and claimed he was bullying Tasha.

One tweeted out: ‘So Jacques left the villa to protect his own mental health but is still bullying one of the girls from the outside. Does mental health not matter to girls no?’

Another agreed, writing: ‘We said f**k Jacques from the start for his behavior towards Paige and Tasha in the villa but all of the misogynists used ‘#bekind’ and ‘men’s mental health matters too’ as a weapon to excuse his behaviour.’

A third echoed: ‘mental health this, mental health that, until it’s women’s mental health, right Jacques?’

Someone else chimed in to add: ‘How about stop giving p****s the platform to rectify their image when they still mock others on the internet Jacques doesn’t care about others mental health’.

Tarek’s comments come the same day Jacques appeared on Good Morning Britain to discuss life after the dating show, admitting that he ‘just wanted my mum’ after his traumatic experience.

Host Kate Garraway started by asking Jacques: ‘How do you feel now being out because the episode you left was emotional to watch’

Jacques responded: ‘When I first came out it was very different for me, I was scared of life and what was to come next for me.

‘When I was in the holding villa I just wanted my mum. We were getting death threats. I thought to myself I’m going to delete social media’

Jacques’ family revealed during his time in the villa that he had been diagnosed with ADHD (Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder) at the age of nine and sometimes struggled to deal with emotional situations.

He continued: ‘I then started to get messages saying I’m a role model with the ADHD thing and I decided I need to stand up and be there for them. I was overwhelmed with it all’

‘I’ve been posting a lot saying thank you because if it wasn’t for them, I would still be in that dark place, if it wasn’t for the people giving me love I would be in a bad place.’

The reality star added: ‘When I got out, I was so ready to delete that, but I was so angry with my mum. I was like, ‘Why did you put that out? It’s looking like an excuse for my behavior.

‘With me I’m very like … I deal with everything, it’s not about ADHD. We struggle, people with ADHD will understand me, we struggle a lot differently to someone without ADHD.’

Jacques told co-host Ben Shephard: ‘My plan moving forward is to work with kids with ADHD, disabilities. A lot of people come out thinking about money but if I can put a smile on someone’s face it makes my day.’
